I don’t understand the appeal of this. Power on the man’s part? Submission on the woman’s part?

I can only explain it from my own perspective…but there is something so wonderful about being a dominant person and having someone take that away for a moment.  Being strong is good.  Being self-assured is good.  Being able to dominate comes in handy in many situations.  But sometimes it becomes a weight…and someone else taking it from you - even for a moment - is such a relief.
It has to be someone you trust, however.  Consensual.  If some random guy tried this with me, I’d probably keep whatever body part of his that he decided to press against me.
But when you’re with someone you trust and they’re willing to take away the burden of being “the strong one” from you…it almost makes you cry with relief.
If you “give away” your control, you’re still the one in control.  It has to be taken in order to truly be removed from your purview.
This photo is an example of someone taking control, and the appeal to me is the relief that comes from not holding that heavy burden as well as looking into the face of the person who is willing to take it from you for a moment.
